Proportional Reasoning-2

Draw a chart, then check it closes

Sixty learners said how they get to school. Draw the chart, in this order.

Nothing drawn yet.
Step 1 of 5
  1. Nothing drawn yet.
  2. Walk: 150° added.
  3. Cycle: 90° more.
  4. Bus: 72° more.
  5. Auto: 48° more — it closes.

Rule, in five steps:

  1. Count the whole set.
  2. Share 360° among all the learners.
  3. Multiply each group's count by that share.
  4. Draw each slice, starting at the edge where the last slice ended.
  5. Check the total: add every angle. It must reach 360°.

Counts: walk 25, cycle 15, bus 12, auto 8. Each learner is 360° ÷ 60 = 6°.

Walk: 25 × 6° = 150°. Cycle: 15 × 6° = 90°. Bus: 12 × 6° = 72°. Auto: 8 × 6° = 48°.

Add them: 150 + 90 + 72 + 48 = 360. The groups hold all 60 learners. So the angles fill the circle.

Tap to draw each slice. Then check the total.
