Exploring Magnets

Using magnets safely

What is safe to do with a magnet?

Loading lab…

The idea

Keep magnets away from phones, TVs and computers. Keep magnets away from bank cards too.

Do not drop, hit or heat a magnet. It gets weaker.

Small magnets can harm a child who swallows them. Tell an adult at once.

Store two bar magnets side by side. Place them so N is beside S at each end. Put a small iron bar across the ends. This bar is a keeper. A keeper helps magnets stay strong.

Keep magnets away from screens.
