The rule

Mindful eating means paying attention to what you eat. It is three small habits.

  • Variety — different foods across the week. Different foods carry different components.
  • Foods in season — grown at the time of year that suits them. These foods are often fresh and local, grown near you.
  • No waste — cook just enough. Store food with care. Eat leftovers, food kept from an earlier meal.
