Health: The Ultimate Treasure

Cutting the route

A lid goes on a pot. Which route does that cut?

An empty pot, with the lid beside it.
Step 1 of 4
  1. An empty pot, with the lid beside it.
  2. The lid goes on. Covered.
  3. Water is poured in. The lid comes off.
  4. The pot ends up open. The step was undone.

A lid cuts the water route or the food route. A lid stops new germs entering. It works only while on.

The rule

An everyday step cuts a link in a route. The order of the steps matters. A later step can undo an earlier one.

What each everyday step cuts
StepRoute it cuts
Boil the drinking waterWater
Cover the food and cook it wellFood
Wash hands with soapTouch
Cover the mouth and nose when coughingAir
Empty still waterMosquitoes

Nothing here is a real house. A real worry goes to a trusted adult or a doctor.

Read the steps in order. Is the route cut?
