Health: The Ultimate Treasure

A vaccine

How can a body get ready for a new germ?

Two doors: "Met the illness" and "Vaccine."
Step 1 of 4
  1. Two doors: "Met the illness" and "Vaccine."
  2. Door one: the illness happens, then the memory is set.
  3. Door two: no illness run. The memory is set directly.
  4. Both doors give the body a memory of the germ.

A vaccine trains the immune system to know a germ. It is made so that it does not cause the illness.

The rule

A vaccine has dead germs, weak germs, or a safe piece. It trains the body before the germ arrives. It helps prevent illness. It does not cure it.

Doctors and health workers advise which vaccines to get, and when. Vaccines are tested for safety. Ask a doctor or a parent about them.

Pick a door. Then see what the germ does later.
