Intro Programming with Blocks

One block instead of four

A program has four "Move forward" blocks. Ten squares would need ten blocks.

Four separate Move forward blocks.
Step 1 of 4
  1. Four separate Move forward blocks.
  2. All four run — four steps to the flag.
  3. One Repeat block holds one Move forward.
  4. It runs the same four steps to the flag.

A repeat block runs the blocks inside it many times.

Repeat 4 times with Move forward inside runs Move forward four times. For ten squares, change the number to 10. You still use one Repeat block.

Set the repeat number. Reach the flag.
