Track Zero: Getting Ready for Science

Start here

Six small skills are used in most Class 6 science chapters. Try each one first.

What you will do

  • Look closely — notice what is really there.
  • Measure fairly — use a tool that gives everyone the same number.
  • Solid, liquid, gas — see how the same water changes with heat.
  • Hot and cold — see why a hand cannot judge heat fairly.
  • Day and night — see why the Sun seems to rise and set.
  • Living or not — use four checks to tell the two apart.

Each lesson has one short activity. Nothing here is graded.

Your Class 6 book

  • Chapter 1: The Wonderful World of Science
  • Chapter 5: Measurement of Length and Motion
  • Chapter 7: Temperature and its Measurement
  • Chapter 8: A Journey through States of Water
  • Chapter 10: Living Creatures: Exploring their Characteristics
  • Chapter 12: Beyond Earth

Try the idea here. Then find its name in the book.
