The Wonderful World of Science

Science is a way of finding out

The terrace plants lean toward the sun. Why? One question starts everything.

Facts alone sit still.
Step 1 of 4
  1. Facts alone sit still.
  2. A real question gets asked.
  3. Ask, predict (say what you expect), test, check. It is a loop.
  4. Science is a loop, not only facts.

We find the answer by testing the plant. A guess alone is not enough.

Science — a way of finding things out and checking them.

Science works in a loop. A loop repeats: each check can lead to a new question.

Observation — what you sense with eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. Inference — a guess made from an observation. A new observation can check an inference.
