A request comes before every answer from an AI tool. This track is about asking well and checking the answer.

Ask. Get an answer. Then check it. This track teaches both the asking and the checking.

An AI tool is a program that answers your text. Some tools call your text a prompt. This track calls it a request.

What you will learn

  • What you actually asked. Count the readings a request leaves open.
  • Who it is for. Name the reader, the length and the shape.
  • Give it the material. Paste in a page. Trace each claim, a statement in the answer, to a line.
  • Change one thing. One change shows what caused the difference.
  • Check it against the thing. Four checks, and what each needs.
  • What it cannot know. Some requests no wording can fix.
  • A request worth keeping. Save a good request as a function.

Nothing here talks to a real tool. Every request and answer here is an example we wrote.
