Programming with Blocks III: Bridge to Text

Blocks written as words

Blocks are pictures of steps. Pseudocode is the same steps written in plain words. An indent is a line pushed in from the left edge.

Three blocks for a chalk border.
Step 1 of 4
  1. Three blocks for a chalk border.
  2. Each block becomes one line.
  3. The dot is inside the repeat. Its line is indented.
  4. The new line is not inside. It is not indented.

The rule

Each block becomes one line of plain words. The lines keep the block order. An indent shows what is inside a repeat.

In this plan, only the indented line runs three times.
