Programming with Blocks II

Start here

A game needs to count mangoes. Blocks you know move a sprite, repeat, or ask. A sprite is a character on the screen. None keeps a number.

Five ideas, in order.

What this track covers

  • A named box — a place to keep one number.
  • Changing it — read the box, then write a new number.
  • Waiting — a group of blocks that runs when a tap happens.
  • Nested blocks — one block inside another.
  • Planning first — write the steps of a game before you build it.
