A Journey through States of Water

The water cycle never runs out

Rain fills the terrace tank. Where was this water before it fell?

Loading lab…

The water cycle: rises, falls as rain, flows back to the sea.

The rule

The water rose as vapour from the sea or the land.

The water cycle is the path that water takes again and again.

  1. The Sun warms the sea. Water evaporates.
  2. High up, vapour cools and condenses into clouds.
  3. The clouds grow heavy. Water falls as rain.
  4. Rain flows down rivers back to the sea.

Evaporate means turn into vapour. Condense means turn back into liquid.

The Sun keeps shining. So the cycle keeps going.
