Diversity in the Living World

Start here

A tulsi plant. A sparrow. A gecko, a small lizard. All three are alive. None looks the same.

All alive. All very different.

This is your textbook's Chapter 2, Diversity in the Living World. Diversity means many different kinds of living things.

What you will do

  • See that living things differ, even two of one kind.
  • Sort plants by their stem.
  • Sort animals by how they move.
  • Group them in more than one way.
  • Match animals to their homes.

Look closely. Every living thing is a little different.
