Seven ideas, one line each.

  • Counting: touch each thing once. The last count word is the answer.
  • Number line: every number has one spot. Zero is first.
  • Place value: a digit's place tells what it counts. Ten ones make a ten.
  • Comparing: more digits is bigger. Same digits? Compare from the left.
  • Zero: it can mean none. It can also hold a place.
  • Shapes: count corners and edges to name a shape. Turning changes nothing.
  • × and ÷: × counts equal groups fast. ÷ shares fairly. Any leftover is the remainder.

Now open your Class 6 book. Look for these ideas in three chapters.
