The idea
Step 1 of 3
- Two lamps, a switch and a wire, all on one loop. Both lamps light.
- The first lamp is taken out. There is one gap now.
- Both lamps go dark, not just the one that was removed.
The rule
Parts in one loop share one path. Take one out and every lamp goes dark.
A broken filament leaves a gap, like a lamp taken out.
