Before the questions, here is one line to keep from each idea.

One line to keep from each idea
IdeaThe line to keep
The trail that builds upYour digital footprint is what you post, plus what a service keeps. One item says one fact. Two that agree say a pattern.
Pictures get changedThe question is whether a change makes the picture say something untrue.
Checking, not lookingLooking harder may not settle it. A check brings in something the message does not have.
Aimed at a personA bystander can stop adding, tell a grown-up, and not delete messages.
Noticing how it feelsNotice what got squeezed, measured against your own plan.
Rights and dutiesEvery right online comes with a duty to other people.
A fake accountA fake account hurts the real person. Do not reply or share it. Tell a grown-up you trust.

You post one photo at the ground on a Saturday. What does that one photo show?

  • That you are there every Saturday
  • That you were there once
  • Nothing at all

You post photos at the ground on two Saturdays. What can a stranger guess?

  • Which school you go to
  • That you are often there on Saturdays
  • Nothing more than before

Your bus searches are kept by the service. Who can read that record?

  • Anybody who reaches your page
  • The service, not other users
  • Nobody, because a search is not a post

You delete a post an hour after it went up. What is true afterwards?

  • Anybody who saved or shared it still has it
  • It is gone from everywhere
  • It was never on your trail

A photo of a stall is made brighter. Nothing else changes. Does it say something untrue?

  • Yes, because it was edited
  • No, because the stall says the same
  • Only if you tell nobody

One photo has a recoloured awning. Another has a price moved from ₹40 to ₹90. Which matters more?

  • The awning, because it is bigger
  • The price, because it changes what the board says
  • Neither, because both are edits

A student will look at a photo very closely. They want to know if it is real. What is wrong?

  • Nothing, if they zoom in far enough
  • Looking cannot show who made it or why. A check can
  • The photo is too small to look at

What makes something a check, not just looking?

  • It brings in something the message does not have
  • It takes longer than a glance
  • It uses a computer

A close friend forwards you a message. Does that settle whether it is true?

  • Yes, because a friend would not pass on a false one
  • No, because the friend may not have checked
  • Yes, if the friend is sure

Every class plan leaves out one person on purpose, week after week. Nothing unkind is typed. Is this cyberbullying?

  • Yes, because it can hurt one person on purpose
  • No, because nothing unkind was said
  • Only if that person complains first

You see a mean post in a class chat. What changes the situation most?

  • Watching and saying nothing
  • Telling a grown-up you trust
  • Sending a laughing face

An evening ends with homework undone and a hard morning. What is that?

  • A signal to look at your plan
  • Proof that you have failed
  • Nothing, unless you passed a fixed limit

A student posts a classmate's photo without asking. Which duty was missed?

  • Check that it is true before you pass it on
  • Leave other people's private things alone
  • Do not tease a group or use rude names

A fake account posts in a friend's name. What is the best first step?

  • Reply that the account is fake
  • Share the post to warn friends
  • Show a grown-up you trust

Fourteen questions. When looking harder cannot settle a case, a check from outside can. That may be another source, a witness, a plan or a grown-up.

One line to take with you is a question. What would settle this?

Next, Punched Cards & a Lights Puzzle turns to codes and clues.

Reveal every answer to finish this lesson.
