Lesson 5 of 10

Noticing how it feels

Show on a big screen

4 min

Text size

Homework was planned for seven. It started at half past nine. Homework got squeezed. Squeezed means got less time.

A planned evening: homework, sleep.
Step 1 of 4
  1. A planned evening: homework, sleep.
  2. What happened: screen time joins in.
  3. Homework and sleep both got smaller.
  4. Notice what got squeezed.

An evening has a fixed number of minutes. Screen time takes minutes from other things.

Notice what got squeezed, measured against your own plan. Compare the minutes you used with the minutes you planned.

There is no fixed number of minutes to aim for.

Signals are signs your body or day gives you. Signals to notice the next morning:

  • Tired eyes.
  • Hard to get up.
  • Homework not done.

One signal now and then is ordinary. The same one, most mornings, matters.

If signals keep appearing, tell a grown-up you trust. If sore eyes stay, see a doctor.

Slide screen time and homework. Watch what sleep loses.
