Give it the material
Show on a big screenPaste the library rules into your request. Then you can look for a line behind each claim.
The rules you paste are your material. A claim is one thing the answer says is true. To trace a claim, look for the line it came from. We say the claim hops back to that line.
- Two lines from the material. Two claims in the answer.
- Claim A hops back to line 3.
- Line 3 agrees. The hop holds.
- Claim B hops to line 4. The answer says 5 rupees. The line says 2.
Read the rules below. Check each claim against them.

The rule
Work from material you supply. Make every claim hop back to a sentence in it. A claim with no sentence behind it stays unchecked. Do not use it until you check it somewhere else.
The request: "Can I keep a book longer? What if I return one late?" The rules are the six lines in the lab.
- Three claims hop to a line, and the line agrees.
- One claim hops to line 4. It says five rupees. The line says two.
- One claim, about losing membership, hops nowhere. The rules never say it. It stays unchecked.
Never paste private details into a request. That means names, addresses, passwords and phone numbers. Not sure? Ask a trusted adult first.
Watch out!
A calm answer, one that sounds sure, is not a checked answer. A matching line shows the claim follows your page.
