The idea
Yes. The needle becomes a magnet, so it picks up a clip.
Stroke a steel needle with one end of a magnet. To stroke is to rub from one end to the other. Always stroke in the same direction.
A magnet gets weaker if you drop, hit or heat it.
Step 1 of 3
- A steel needle, and a magnet to stroke it.
- It picks up a paperclip. It is now a magnet.
- Drop it hard, and it weakens.
