A bar chart draws one bar for each group.
Step 1 of 5
- An empty chart. The side line counts rainy days.
- Week 1: 3 rainy days.
- Week 2: 7 rainy days.
- Week 3: 9 rainy days. The tallest bar.
- Week 4: 4 rainy days.
A taller bar means a bigger count. In this chart, week 3 has the most rainy days. A tall bar does not mean good or bad.
- Each bar has a label under it.
- Compare the heights. Do not guess.
- Read the numbers on the side line before you compare two charts. The same height can mean different counts.
