Show on a big screenA pile of priced crates can teach a program to guess prices. Each crate has a word on it. The word is full price or cut price.
What you will do
- A rule or a pile. Compare a rule with a pile.
- Keep some back. Split the pile before the program learns.
- Right out of how many. Count how often a guess is right.
- Split it differently. A new split gives a new score.
- Learning the examples. A perfect score that means nothing.
- Ask more than one. Let several examples vote.
- The order you do it in. Split, then learn, then measure.
- Write the rule yourself. Type the rule that copies the nearest example.
This track is How AI Learns I: From Rules to Data.
Nothing here learns while you watch. The learning is already done. You measure it.
